A day at camp

Well, here I am at camp again. It seems that this is the only time I have available lately to post. damn. I miss my pretty garden at home so I thought I would post a picture of it here. I have my fountain on a timer to come at 1pm and shut off at 10pm. The sound of running water is very soothing. I need some of soothing in my life right now.

I can not believe that it is already August. In less than a month I'll be back at school providing you with all the gory details that working in a high school's kitchen can provide. Salad dressing! Ketchup! More ketchup! I miss the ladies I work with and I'll be glad to see them again. I hope they all come back for another year of fun.

Camp has been so much fun this year. Every weekend I look forward to seeing our friends and relaxing. My God, how we relax! Yesterday we came up to camp early. Regina had kindly gone over to our camper and turned the AC on so it was all cool when we arrived. Gary and I organized his boat and re-strung a couple rods. Then we all got our swimsuits on and went and floated in the 82 degree pool for an hour or so. It was so refreshing! After our swim, we road over to the local farm stand and bought some fresh string beans and cukes for dinner. Gary grilled a huge beef tenderloin on the grill , I made a tomato and mozzarella salad and our neighbors at camp joined us for dinner. We had a couple Smirnoff Ice , which are our new passion instead of beer, and were in bed by 9pm. Fabulous day!!

Today the campground is having a carnival food festival. Fried dough! Sausage subs! Cotton Candy! French fries! Than an ice cream social afterwards. Sounds like a good day for Rolaids. I (stupidly) forgot my camera so there won't be any pictures of this extravaganza but I will tell you all about it.
