Friends

Thanks to Jules, I've got a new retro picture. I love it!

It's been a quiet week since I last posted. We made our final trip to camp last weekend to put the awning away and bring in the slide-out. Our friends were there doing the same and it was bittersweet saying goodbye to them. Hopefully, we will be able to get together over the winter to have dinner and some laughs with them. I know I've said this in the past before, but it's worth saying again. As a couple, Gary and I are a hard pair to find friends. It's rare that we meet another couple that we both get along with. Over the years, I've had friends and Gary can barely tolerate the husband or vice versa. Or Gary has a friend and the wife and I don't hit it off too well. However, with Regina and Rodney we struck gold. Rodney loves to fish and Regina and I have alot in common.

We are hoping to get up to Greenville in the near future. I'm thinking we might try to go for Thanksgiving again. We had a blast last year and I look forward to seeing my friend, Melody and my sister, Sue. I would link to my sister's blog but she had a lame-o moment and deleted it. Come on, Sue - get blogging again!

Let me leave you with a picture I took at a weigh-in last week. Autumn in Maine is beautiful.

Maine is just beautiful period! Next to NY, it's my favorite state. Heck, I like it more than NY. Haha.

My husband and I have no 'couples' as friends. It would be an absolute miracle if we found one we both liked ... like an actual miracle. The Pope would bless it and everything.

Sorry about the non-blogging, but I guess I can leave a comment. I want you guys to come up over Thanksgiving. I have renters at the green house that leave on Wed. the 22nd. How about come up Wed and stay til Sunday? Or Monday would be good too. Let me know. I don't mind cooking either!

it's comforting to know you're at least lurking in the shadows! =)

wondering how sheri updated yvette's blog from a different computer in a different town will rattle my brain the rest of the afternoon.
