Sunshine Quilt

A cheery good day to all!

I think spring has finally sprung around here. There are many, many birds enjoying the backyard and tiny green buds are starting to appear on some tree and plants. Yesterday, when I climbed into the truck it was broiling hot in the cab with all the windows up. To me, that's a sure sign it's getting warm. Usually in the winter around here, even if the sun is bright in the sky, the inside of our vehicle is still freezing. When Gary and I lived in Mississippi, we always started our car and let the A/C run to cool it off . Up here in Maine, we have to let the heat run.

I'm so tickled with myself right now. I'm almost finished my quilt top for our bed in the camper. It is so cheery and pretty and I can't wait to get it done. Only two more sides to go, then a border and lastly the backing. Here's a picture of my progress so far:

This quilt makes me smile every single time I look at it so I am going to name it Rimmed In Sunshine because of the yellow borders.

Your quilt is beautiful...You are such a talented woman...the only thing I can make .... is the BED. Feels like spring, way up north, too. So beautiful that I really wanted to play hookey today. SUMMER is in sight now. YIPPEE!!! Can you tell I'm sick of winter?

Damn girl, that quilt is gorgeous.

I've always wanted to learn how to quilt, but never seem to get around to it. I'm having enough of a time trying to finish a baby blanket that I'm crocheting (mostly because of time issues--as always).

One day....I'll take a crack at it. Something like your beautiful work of art is truly inspiring!

Oh, and the name is PERFECT!

Wow sheri, that is really nice! I bow to your craftiness....I can't do any of that sewing, home decorating, scrapbooking stuff...but I can cook!

Nice design, very bright. Are you going to hand tie it, or machine stitch it?

Awesome Quilt Sheri. I love it! I am thinking of stealing an idea from "Step Mom" (the movie) for my daughter for High School Graduation. It will take me that long to finish a quilt. I would like to screen pictures onto fabric swatches and form them into a quilt of some kind. Of course...this is just an IDEA...whether I really go through with it remains to be seen. LOL

The weather in Central Maine is great to. Lets pray it lasts!

You got quiltin' skills to pay the bills!

Wow! That looks pretty complicated and definitely requires some skills. The most I ever did was try my hand at cross-stitching. That's something to be proud of!
