Happy Valentine's Day

Hannah decided that it was very important that she give her dad a valentine. Ok, that's all good and fine. Then she insisted that the dog needs to give him one too. Not to be outdone by the dog, the two cats needed to chime in and so did the fish. I guess Gary's covered with his valentine wishes.

This morning I sat down at my computer after he had gone to work and an email was waiting for me from him with the subject line of V Day. Now, I'm sure that any of you who know Gary in real life would understand when I say that my first thought was "Why is he sending me a World War II email about VD Day? Doesn't he know I'm not interested in that stuff?" It never occured to me that V Day was Valentine's Day..... so I didn't open it. In fact, I was ready to delete it and thought to myself... "nah, let me open it and see what it is. God help me if he asks me if I read it and I say yes and then have no clue what it said." It was an email from him telling me Happy Valentines Day complete with kisses and hugs and lots of love forever. He never sends me mushy stuff.....EVER.

Yeah - I cried.

The best surprises are the ones we least expect and no matter how small, usually mean the most to us!
