I don't really have much to blog about today. Spent a little time today trying to find places to put the $182 worth of stuff we got at Sam's Club last night. All I needed was dinner napkins and some Kleenex. Cold season is almost upon us and we can never have too much Kleenex in the house. However, I guess we can have too much other stuff because I CAN NOT cram another item in the pantry. I swear if a siege was ever put upon our town, we certainly could survive 6 months on the amount of food in this house. It's ridiculous really. It started out innocently enough. A dvd for Hannah (Barbie's The Magical Pegasus - now there's an exciting movie to watch over and over ad nausea), some dinner napkins, Cascade and Kleenex. Then it happened. The buggy turned down towards the food. Things started flowing into the buggy. A 6lb bag of mixed nuts in the shell. 4 lb Keilbasa. 2 lb Velveeta. 10 lb Sweet Potatoes. A gallon of syrup, 6lb bag of pancake mix, 4 lb box of muffin mix. Trailmix. Why in God's name do we need so much food? Does anyone else buy in bulk like this and then have a hard time finding places to store it?
Came across a couple really neat sites if you're bored. The first is Snowdays. Really.... a cool site if you like to make snowflakes out of paper. The other is Carve a Pumpkin. Admit it... don't you love to cut up a good pumpkin and not have the mess to clean up? Have a great time with both of these sites...... and don't get addicted to them! lol
Speaking of pumpkins. I came across a couple photos of drawings that Hannah had done when she was younger. Here is her first pumpkin drawing:
This is one title "Hannah & Mommy" from Oct 2002. Hannah was 4 yrs old. I guess this is how she saw me. All frazzled with a deer in the headlight look on my face. I have a big round circle body and hair sticking up all over my head.

I certainly know what you mean about Sam's Club. We go there frequestly and I can never get out of there for less than a cart full. I steer clear of the food...at least the bulk stuff. We live in a mobile home so space is limited and I can't store extra. What I can't get past is the rostisseri chicken. I always buy two or three. My new passion from Sam's is Swiss Miss Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream Bars. 99% fat free (we won't discuss the sugar content though) and they are the best I've had. Try them...box of 16 for $8 I think. Well worth it. And if I can keep Tim away from the tool/crap section I'm doing well. On the last trip I bought Christmas bags and tags...very nice quality and inexpensive.
ok, enough about Sam's...I'm getting hungry. Thank you for your kind words in your comment on my post. I still can't seem to keep from crying and I know hwat the problems are, just can't fix them at this time. I have a day just me and Tim tomorrow and I hope to have a heart to heart with him. He can usually make it better for me...maybe that's why I love him so much.
Love the drawings Hannah did. I miss those days with Kristen. I can't even get her to do crafts with me anymore...BooHoo! Cherish this time Sheri...goes by too fast! Luvs!
lol, yeah. i have a tough time storing too. those pictures are absolutely precious and priceless works of art!
Dude, those drawings are great! I bet Hannah is a beautiful little sunglasses-wearing marshmallow.
I'm thinking every parent of a 4-yr old looks like that!
And look at that smile on "mommy's" face!
I call Sam's the $200 store... draw your own conclusions! LOL
I have some similar pictures that my nieces drew of me. Sometimes I'm a thin, svelt stick figure and sometimes I look like a pumpkin on steroids; but, you know what -- I wouldn't trade them for ANYTHING!
I don't get those kinda pics any more...so very sad. I WANT MY BABIES BACK.
Sam's is a scary place for me. Everything is so... big. I mean, do people REALLY need to buy toilet paper in something the size of a hay bail? But i'm also looking at it from the perspective of a guy that lives alone. I'm sure that once you add a family into the equation, consumption rates go up :)
Awww, loved the drawings! I can't go into places like Sam's Club. I'll come out broke!
Thanks for taking a picture of the angry sea. I miss it. =(
