Happy 200th Post!

Yes, dear readers... you are here on a most awesome occasion... the 200th post and my new look! I did it myself... just learning all this html code mumbo jumbo. My blog has come a long way since I started it and I've met some great people along the way. Sometimes I wish I had more time to put new posts on, but alas... life gets in the way. My mother already thinks I spend way too much time on the computer.

The Lake Erie trip is going well. Gary reports that 'they are onto fish' which in fisherman language means they've found some honey spots and are guarding those places with more secrecy than the CIA has regarding Osama Bin Laden's whereabouts. All summer long, when Gary & his partner were in the money on this tournament trail, they put the winnings in an account for this trip. They had quite a bit saved up and used some of it to hire 2 guides for a couple days. I guess the guide was worth his weight in gold as he put them onto some good spots. The actual tournament is Friday and Saturday so we shall see how good the guide really was. Hannah is missing her Dad something fierce. She has begun the countdown until he gets home. Four more days.

I wasn't sure what I wanted today's post to be about so I will just ramble on until something comes to me. I scared you all the other day with my Christmas countdown so I'll take it a little further.... only 73 days left now. I'm already in full panic mode. I've bought a few gifts already and I know that throughout the year, I've picked up a few things here and there as well. Thank God, my mother had the foresight a couple years ago to get a large tote for small gifts (ie stocking stuffers and other small items) to put all this stuff in. Now instead of running around shrieking "I know I bought that in March.. now where the fuck is it?" I just go to "The Tote" and get it.

Hannah has her school pictures tomorrow. Last year they took pictures right after gym class. Hannah's glasses were crooked, her hair was a mess and she looked sweaty. I was horrified when I got the pictures and signed her up for the re-take day. I also sent a note asking if, before her re-take picture, could someone make sure her hair was halfway decent this time? They came out perfect! Keep those fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Congratulations on 200 posts! Impressive! Our school pictures are tomorrow too! Polly is in charge of that since she is PTO president and she was getting the teachers to sign up for a time yesterday. I was visiting her when Prudy Richards stopped by to pick up her grandson. She said "Please let the kindergartners go first, I can't keep them looking good for very long!" But Polly enlists volunteer mothers who help them with their hair and make sure theres no food on their faces, etc, while they are waiting in line. Good idea.
What a great idea Mom had in the tote! I am going to start that today, I have been picking up a few things here and there, and I won't be able to find them a month from now.

Nice new look, I should hire you to do my page. I never have any time to look at it anymore.

Oh, Sheri...your school photographer and ours must share a brain or are twins or something. What the hell is the deal about that, anyway? I don't think we've had a year, yet, that we haven't had to do retakes because of the after-gym or recess photo. SIGH.

I love the new look. You've got a gift, girl!

Happy 200th! What a great milestone! I'm still gunning for 100....

Congrats on post 200!

I had to laugh about the pictures. My son's very first picture was horrid. They had his hair sticking up and green marker across his top lip. Like some technicolor mustache. He did retakes then as well and I actually showed up on the day to make sure his hair and face was presentable. LOL

200th WOW! They certainly add up fast. Congratulations on the new look...love it! As do I mine and Kristen her's. You Rock Girl!
Sorry about scaring the bejesus out of you about the cat...if you knew me you'd understand how tramatic it was for ME! I own three cats (the fourth passed away last year) and mom has two and we live right next door. My cats are my babies...two I've had for 18 years and the one that passed away was almost 18 so he would have been pushing 20 by now. I woke up in a cold sweat this morning and shaking like a leaf! I hate it when I dream like that. I did think it was funny after I calmed odw...kind of surreal! I went to mom's already and hugged Oliver...He's fine! LOL! If I wasn't so stressed right now it probably wouldn't have happened!
Keep blogging girlfriend...love your posts and read them everyday. When you get a handle on the html code shit fill me in...I'd love to learn it! Luvs to ya!
