The Strange & Unusual

I was watching a show on television the other night about the paranormal and other strange happenings. It got me thinking about my own home and the odd happenings around here. I thought I would share a few of them with you, my dear readers. Please feel free to comment on them or to share your own wierd happenings!

First, my dog eats raw stringbeans. Now this might not strike some of you as strange but coupled with the fact that she will pick them off the plant in the garden, well.......

We find these odd little pod-like nests with dead spiders in them. Upon further study and research, we find that they belong to the Organpipe Mud Dauber and the spiders are for the larvae to eat before they hatch. GROSS!

We occasionally have this wierd looking mushroom growing in our neighborhood and I was lucky to capture the little devil responsible for planting them. Sneaky, little bastard!

Our feet have developed strange markings on them!

Hannah proves to me that her Daddy really does walk on water!

And finally the most amazing thing has happened! Hannah can fly!

These are truely strange and unusual happenings....especially that wierd foot disease...I hope that it's not contageous. Bre swears that her room has ghosts...she says that her bed moves at midnight, she swears that it's a friendly ghost, personally I think it's all the damned dust bunnies trying to get away!

That spider thing freaks me out but the rest of the paranormal activity looks like fun! Well, maybe not the foot discoloration.

Wow. Your feet are going to look pretty funny for a while. :)

I'm truly concerned. Maybe I have some paranormal activity too. When I go to bed, the cookies I baked are sealed away in their air-tight container. When I get up, the cookies are gone...hmmmmmm.

Fun post Sheri...
The spider thing just grosses me out. Beware of them hoping back out at you. Also beware of the mushroom growing in your yard...upon doing some research in my trusted Mushrooms of North America book, these are known to be poisonous. I doubt that just touching them would do anything but I wouldn't eat them if I were you. I love the idea of the dog doing the harvesting. Now if we can only get the cat to clean it's own litter box life as humans will be pure bliss. Hey, I have that same foot disease...and all this time I thought it was some sort of farmers tan. Look forward to reading more from you soon.
