We arrived on Friday about mid afternoon and the moment we stopped the vehicle it began to rain. I had never seen it rain so hard in such a short time. Torrents of rain, falling in sheets, loudly proclaiming "I can ruin this weekend if I want to!" As Gary is fond of saying "It's raining as hard as a cow pissin' on a flat rock!" Yeah, you can get a visual of that if you think about it.My sister, Sue, and EJ arrived to find their site suddenly prime lakefront property as it was the collection site for all the run-off water in the campground. They waited out the rain in their truck, but it didn't seem to dampen their spirits as they both were thrilled to be away for the weekend. Despite the rain that evening, Gary grilled some delicious chicken and we had a good meal and some drinks.
Saturday was hot. When I say hot, I mean it was one of the those sweat trickle down your back into your ass crack kind of hot. Kudo's to Sherry for recommending the awesome Anti-Monkey Butt Powder. Wow - this stuff is great! The chafe is no-more. Highly recommend it!
Here is the announcer greeting the Indians at the Opening Ceremony. After I took this picture, they announced that no pictures could be taken during the Opening Ceremony. oops.
Loved this turkey featherback ornament. It was awesome to see.
This was the indian who led all the dancing. He sure had some energy in all that heat.
