Please remember Oklahoma City

Today was the 11th Anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing.

Our news up here did not even mention it and I have not heard anything about it today on the radio or online.

However, it was vitally important that we all know the TomKat Kitten was born and that a Portugal winemaker is now using caps instead of corks.

I'm ashamed.

Don't forget that Brooke Shields also gave birth to her second child. Gotta discuss the important things in life.

That's sad. It was mentioned on our news here in England, admittedly very briefly, but if they can manage it...

Hard to believe that it's been 11 years...Even harder to believe is that we live in a society that finds TomKat baby MORE important...Sad!

Sad isn't it. Thanks for keeping it all in perspective.

Sheri, thanks for remembering. I was horrified that there was no mention what so ever.

I saw that Columbine got a mention today. Another tragedy worth mentioning, but how could the Oklahoma bombing become less important than an idiot's gf giving birth?

Wow. I had no idea. Thanks for reminding us. My God Im so sick of hearing about Tom Cruise. I guess this is just a prelude to get us used to it till Angelina pops.

You hit the nail right on the head, hon.

Let Tom, his brainwashed "bride-to-be" and their baby do what they want--I could care less.

When are we going to get our priorities straight?

Oklahoma City didn't do it
Columbine didn't do it
Even Sept. 11 has become a faded memory--with the exception of people using it as a defense for whatever political motivation they dream up.

Sigh.

This trend of escapism won't go away, I fear.
