Not really a resolution...

Okay...here it is...the beginning of January. Everywhere I go, I am bombarded with exercise videos, dvds, equipment and trainers wanting to show me how they can make me a better person just by being skinny...or for lack of a better word....thinner. However, my goal I've set is to be healthier...and in doing so, I think the thinner will just fall into place. I'm making a conscious effort to eat healthier and smaller portions. I'm not going to say that I am going to be a fanatic about it. I just think that Gary & I can both greatly benefit from this. I haven't asked him to but I've noticed that he hasn't been drinking as much. Maybe a couple here and there but nothing like he was. That in itself has to help with the calorie intake.

I learned a new word today....hapvious. It means to be happy for someone but envious at the same time. Feel free to incorporate it into your speak. Sometimes I find myself wanting to say I'm envious but happy at the same time. Cute huh?

The front tooth is hanging on. God, it looks so funny. All crooked and a huge space between it and its neighbor. I can remember (not too long ago) wishing her teeth would grow in and now here I am wishing it would fall out.

Our 21st anniversary is next week on Friday. I think Gary & I are going to go to dinner to celebrate or we might go play the ponies at Scarborough Downs. I vote for the ponies myself but we'll see.

Healthier is a great goal to have. Before I first started working out last January, I would get very tired walking around and events that my husband and I would go to, like fairs and whatnot. I stuck with working out, doing 1/2 hour of cardio 4 days a week and working with a trainer 2 days a week, and while i bagged some days, I basically stuck with it. Now I can walk as much as I pretty much want to. Thanks for reading my blog and I wish you success!

I got "hapvious" from Danae's blog (hardscrabble.typepad.com) too!! LOL! Don't you just love her blog!!

I wouldn't worry about losing weight, I think you're so right about the "healthier" thing. Good luck and I can't want to hear how it goes!!
