I think seeing them in TV format tends to lessen their impact to some extent. (Sort of like some people tell themselves, "It's only on tv. It'll never happen to me.)

I hope I made sense here.Willowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09339006290850303550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062125.post-1115758112088486062005-05-10T16:48:00.000-04:002005-05-10T16:48:00.000-04:00It's so sad. It's so sad.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12831144152790335800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062125.post-1115752625226606272005-05-10T15:17:00.000-04:002005-05-10T15:17:00.000-04:00I posted my sadness about this tragic event. I have a hard time watching some things now...a child in a car accident...a person being shocked with paddles...autopsies, these things are just too close to home. I used to love ER, never missed an episode - I can't watch it any more. I remember things that we did as kids, teens mostly, that scare the shit out of me. Have things really changed that much since then or were we just very VERY lucky that we never got hurt?Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17550490344641476240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062125.post-1115750884391385322005-05-10T14:48:00.000-04:002005-05-10T14:48:00.000-04:00Personally I believe that the more the media shows...Personally I believe that the more the media shows and dwells on these crimes, the more there will be committed. Yes, I think it is desentization due to excessive media attention to such horrible events.Sandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01207026666501896290noreply@blogger.com
